Lead RF engineering innovation for aerospace and defense programs Drive product development, team growth, and technical excellence. About Our Client Our client is a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer specializing in highly engineered components and systems used in some of the world's most demanding environments. With decades of expertise in microwave technologies, they support mission-critical applications across military, communications, radar, electronic warfare, satellite, and space programs. Job Description Lead and develop a team of RF and Mechanical Engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative engineering organization. Provide strategic and technical leadership for both new product development and sustaining engineering initiatives. Partner with business development and sales teams to establish technology roadmaps aligned with customer and market needs. Drive the design, enhancement, and maintenance of advanced RF and microwave products and systems. Allocate engineering resources across multiple projects to ensure successful execution of business priorities. Manage engineering operating budgets, including IR D, sustaining engineering, and customer-funded development programs. Establish and maintain engineering processes, design standards, and best practices to support quality and efficiency. Monitor industry and technology trends to inform product strategy and organizational capabilities. Serve as a key technical representative to customers, supporting business development activities and technical discussions. Support proposal development, project planning, engineering estimates, and program cost assessments. Promote a culture focused on innovation, accountability, employee development, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with leadership teams to achieve operational and strategic business objectives. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline required. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in RF design preferred. 10+ years of engineering experience within aerospace, defense, or related high-technology industries. Prior leadership experience managing engineering teams and technical development programs. Strong understanding of RF passive component design, simulation, and engineering best practices. Experience supporting military, space, and commercial aerospace programs and standards. Proven ability to lead employee development, team building, and performance management initiatives. Strong project management, organizational, and resource planning skills. Customer-facing experience with the ability to support technical discussions and business growth initiatives. Eligibility to obtain authorization to access U.S. export-controlled information in accordance with ITAR requirements.
