Head of Product, Personalized Indexing Vanguard Personalized Indexing (VPI) combines portfolio optimization, tax-aware investing, and customization to help advisors deliver personalized investor outcomes. Capabilities such as tax-loss harvesting, investment screens, and personalized portfolio construction enable advisors to tailor portfolios to each investor's goals, tax situation, values, and preferences while maintaining broad market exposure. As Vanguard expands this strategic growth business, we seek a visionary leader to define and execute VPI's product strategy. The Head of Product will integrate product innovation, digital and investment platforms, and data capabilities to deliver scalable advisor and client experiences and advance enterprise advice initiatives. Success requires strong partnerships across Platform Operations, Technology, Data & Analytics, and Investments. The ideal candidate is an enterprise-minded product executive who combines strategic vision, commercial judgment, and hands-on leadership. They have a record of scaling growth businesses, developing high-performing teams, and aligning diverse stakeholders around measurable client and business outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities Leads VPI's product strategy, operating model, organization, budget, and roadmap, applying commercial judgment to capital allocation, investment priorities, business cases, and strategic trade-offs across markets, products, channels, capabilities, and technologies. Leads advisor and investor digital products from vision through adoption, using customer insights, analytics, experimentation, and metrics to guide priorities, investment decisions, and performance. Partners across Technology, Data & Analytics, Investments, and Client Experience to build scalable platforms, APIs, data products, and personalization capabilities while ensuring strong data governance, quality, access, security, and stewardship. Leads cross-functional product, technology, and operational change through implementation, applying agile, governance, change management, and communication practices amid shifting needs and tight deadlines. Embeds risk, controls, compliance, audit, legal, and privacy requirements into delivery. Builds and develops a high-performing leadership team, establishes accountability, and fosters an entrepreneurial, collaborative culture that adapts to evolving priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Maintains expertise in wealth management, personalized investing, industry trends, and client needs while strengthening enterprise partnerships. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, technology, data science, engineering, or equivalent experience. At least 15 years of progressive experience, including seven years leading digital product teams or major product portfolios and experience managing senior leaders and specialists across multiple functions. Proven success defining and leading wealth management digital product strategy and delivery across complex platforms and client experiences. Experience operating in a highly regulated financial services environment. Deep expertise in product management, agile delivery, human-centered design, data governance and architecture, analytics, and modern platforms and APIs. Proven enterprise leader who develops senior talent, influences executives, and drives complex transformations and measurable client, business, and operational outcomes across functions and locations. Exceptional executive communication and influence, with the ability to translate complex concepts, align stakeholders, and negotiate effectively across business and technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications Strong knowledge of advisor workflows and wealth management distribution channels, including RIAs, broker-dealers, banks, and trust firms. Hands-on experience building and scaling digital products and client experiences. Experience using AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve personalization and client outcomes.
