Industrial Operations Manager

Job Description

Industrial Operations Manager Beringer Aero USA Inc • Greenville, South Carolina •
PERMANENT
$140,000-$160,000/yr Updated 09/17/2026 Job Description Job Summary As Industrial Operations Manager, you will lead the development of Beringer Aero USA's industrial organization. Working closely with the Group Industrial Director in France, you will build the methods, processes, and management systems needed to support long-term US production growth. You will oversee Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Purchasing — and lead the managers and team leaders within those functions. This is a strategic leadership role, not a day-to-day production management position. The right candidate thrives on building and structuring organizations. Key Responsibilities 1. Industrial Organization & Leadership Partner with the Group Industrial Director to define and execute Beringer Aero USA's industrial strategy. Build and scale the industrial organization across Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Purchasing. Establish clear roles, reporting structures, objectives, and performance expectations. Coach and develop functional managers and team leaders. Identify future organizational and resource needs as the US operation expands. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. 2. Industrial Methods & Operational Excellence Define and implement scalable industrial processes across all four functional areas. Align US operations with Group industrial standards while addressing US-specific requirements. Establish KPIs and management routines; drive performance improvement. Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives and ensure effective corrective actions. Support industrialization of new products in coordination with Engineering and the French team. Anticipate future capacity, equipment, workforce, and infrastructure needs. 3. Supply Chain & Purchasing Provide direction to Supply Chain and Purchasing; establish robust planning, inventory, and logistics processes. Ensure material availability supports production without excess inventory. Develop US supplier base; drive supplier performance metrics and purchasing strategies. Collaborate with the French organization on supply chain optimization and cost improvement. 4. Quality & Regulatory Compliance Ensure production and industrial processes meet Beringer Aero standards and applicable aviation regulations. Integrate quality management throughout the industrial organization. Promote root-cause analysis and proactive quality improvement. Support FAA audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions. Serve as the interface between US operations, the French quality team, and regulatory authorities. 5. ERP Implementation & Digitalization Lead ERP deployment within the US operation in partnership with IT and functional managers. Ensure Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Purchasing processes are integrated within the ERP. Support data migration, testing, and user training. Drive ERP adoption and use data to enhance operational visibility and decision-making. 6. Industrial Development & Production Growth Support the evolution of Beringer Aero USA into a mature, scalable manufacturing organization. Define industrial requirements for future production growth (equipment, facilities, workforce, suppliers). Collaborate with French Engineering and Industrial teams to transfer products and know-how to the US. Align industrial investments and organizational decisions with long-term company strategy. Leadership & Team Development A key part of this role is building the team and organization for the future.
You will:
Recruit and develop strong managers and team leaders. Establish clear expectations and accountability at every level. Create pathways for internal growth and succession planning. Build a collaborative, cross-functional culture. Identify gaps in skills, structure, and processes — and close them. Develop a professional yet entrepreneurial working environment. Requirements Required Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing operations leadership Strong knowledge of production, industrial methods, supply chain, and purchasing. Demonstrated experience managing managers or multidisciplinary teams. Experience in aviation, aerospace, or another highly regulated industry (strongly preferred). Background in small or medium-sized manufacturing companies (highly desirable). Proven track record building or structuring an organization, department, or new operation. Experience implementing or improving an ERP/MRP system. Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and performance management. Ability to function effectively within a regulated quality environment. Strong project management and analytical problem-solving skills.
