Job Summary Dillingham Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore maritime operator for experienced Chief Engineers. This is a high-responsibility offshore engineering opportunity for qualified maritime professionals who want to advance their careers in the oil and gas and vessel-operations sector. Location, Rotation, and Travel This role follows a 28-days-on, 28-days-off rotation. Candidates may live anywhere in the United States. The company will accommodate travel to and from Galveston, Texas, for each rotation when the vessel is scheduled to depart and return from offshore work. What You Will Do The Chief Engineer leads the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of all vessel engineering equipment. You will oversee engine room operations, direct engineering personnel, manage maintenance and repair work, and ensure the vessel is ready for normal operations, maneuvering, inspections, and emergency situations.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading maintenance and repair of diesel engines, electrical equipment, pumps, winches, hydraulic systems, refrigeration equipment, and compressors. Managing fuel, lubricating oil, water, spare-parts inventory, and fuel, lube oil, and slop oil transfers. Maintaining preventive maintenance records, engineering logs, and equipment-failure histories. Supervising engineering personnel, assigning daily work, scheduling watches, and training new team members. Preparing the engine room for inspections and ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. Coast Guard and marine safety requirements. Providing engineering leadership during maneuvering operations and emergency situations. What You Bring To be considered, you must have: A U.S. Coast Guard Designated Duty Engineer license of 4,000 HP or higher. At least two years of Chief Engineer experience on a comparable vessel or equivalent military service. Valid

endorsements, including applicable Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch, Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch, Able Seafarer Engine, firefighting, and security endorsements. A valid TWIC card, USCG medical certificate, driver's license, and current passport, or the ability to obtain one. The ability to meet U.S. Coast Guard drug-testing requirements and to speak, read, and write English. Work Environment This is a hands-on offshore role. Candidates must be able to work safely in varied sea and weather conditions; climb stairs and ladders; bend and squat; stand for extended periods; and lift up to 80 pounds.
