In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management, repair, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the hotel. Your leadership will ensure that all engineering functions adhere to safety regulations, operational standards, and quality benchmarks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive efficiency, enhance guest experience through impeccable facilities management, and lead a dedicated team of maintenance professionals. Your expertise in industrial maintenance, project management, and engineering troubleshooting will be instrumental in maintaining the hotel's infrastructure at peak performance. Duties Manage and supervise the facilities maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance across all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations such as OSHA standards. Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track asset history, and optimize maintenance workflows. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage circuits—using tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or renovations while managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting safety audits, training staff on OSHA standards, and maintaining a safe working environment for all team members. Lead emergency response efforts related to facilities issues such as HVAC failures or electrical outages to minimize guest disruption. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, schematics updates, and safety compliance documentation. Experience Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or engineering teams within a hospitality or similar environment. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), and industrial maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, troubleshooting engineering problems using multimeters and ohmmeters. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for facilities management in a large-scale operation. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent team management skills—motivating staff while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Knowledge of CMMS platforms for effective facilities maintenance management is highly desirable.
