BAE Systems is seeking a Facility Engineer at our MN facility. Our facility engineers report directly to the Site Facility Manager. The engineer will develop, support, and safely execute the facilities capital plan to deliver a quality product to the customer. The Facility Engineer could also support projects across the CMS portfolio. This position works a 9/80 schedule with typical hours 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and having every other Friday off.
As a Facility Engineer at our Fridley facility, you will:
Specify requirements and write purchase requisitions for facility items, services and projects.
Oversee all disciplines of subcontracted construction projects (demolition, electrical, mechanical, structural, carpentry, painting, floor coverings, furniture, etc.).
Oversee a variety of subcontractors, reviewing requested work, writing work orders, inspecting work and approving payments. This includes general construction, vehicle repair, rigging and millwright, crane maintenance and other services.
Direct and support projects and meetings for internal customers.
Guide Architectural and Engineering firms doing project engineering work.
Support Safety and Environmental Objectives, including following policies, conducting area audits, alleviating issues, serving on various committees/teams, supporting risk reduction reviews/actions and sustainability improvement projects.
Financial responsibilities: assuring expenses are applied to the correct Cost Center and Account assignments, completing projects within schedule/budget constraints, assisting with development of the annual Facilities budget for their work efforts.
Assist with reviewing documentation associated with projects to include bids, statements of work and project authorizations.
Coordinate and oversee completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle for facilities-related construction projects.
Support our CMMS system with work order and PM completion.
Submit purchase order requisitions through Oracle based software.
Proactively maintain a safe work environment.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, schedule and cost.
Perform multiple additional duties and other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Requirements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and four years of related facilities project experience
Proactive and forward thinking around projects and building systems
Experience balancing multiple assignments to meet target dates
Able to work well in a team environment
Effective communication skills, written and verbal
Able to problem solve and analyze effectively
Experience in Project Management
Experience working with contractors and vendors
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Defense manufacturing environment experience
Maintenance supervisory experience
Capital projects and facilities budgeting experience
Experience with AutoCAD software
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience with manufacturing database software such as Oracle
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range:
$97008 - $164914
