JOB TITLE
Temporary Maintenance EngineerPRIMARY REPORTING

Non-ExemptJOB OBJECTIVE
Perform skilled work in maintaining and repairing building related fixtures.JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Performing repairs on toilet facilities including soap dispensers. Clearing drains by means of plunger and handheld auger. Performing general labor such as carrying, stacking, and sorting of materials used in and around the job site, as well as debris removal. Using Employer supplied vehicle to travel for parts and supplies. Performing repairs on registers and radiators. Performing minor repairs on furniture and floors. Maintaining and/or replacing door hardware. Performing repairs on floor maintenance equipment and venetian blinds. Performing maintenance painting of equipment rooms, cooling towers, and other touch ups in building facilities. Performing general cleaning in mechanical spaces and perimeter induction units. Cleaning up job site and equipment by means of vacuum, mop, broom, floor scrubber, waxer, steam cleaner, high pressure spray cleaner, as well as other types of cleaning devices or equipment. Cleaning and painting of non-operating mechanical equipment which has been shut down, locked out and tagged by a Journeyman Engineer in accordance with Article XIX, Safety Lockout Program. Miscellaneous handyman work requiring the limited use of hand tools. Maintenance Engineer may perform the following limited duties without direct supervision of theChief Engineer:
Cleaning roof drains, air vents, registers, and radiators. Replacing lamps and clean light fixtures. Maintaining toilet facilities, excluding energized systems. Replacing ceiling tiles not affecting fire sprinkler systems and other energized systems. Making minor repairs of furniture and floors. Replacing air filters. Cleaning engineering shop areas. Replacing air filters. Replacing fire extinguishers. Hanging framed objects not requiring the use of power tools other than cordless drill/drivers. The Maintenance Technician shall adhere to the policies, rules and regulations as imposed on Manager by the Owner. The Maintenance Attendant shall complete all other tasks or duties as needed or necessary and as determined by Manager.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Basic operations, tools, and terms used in building construction and maintenance. Knowledge of methods of cleaning and preserving floors, walls, and fixtures. Knowledge of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and equipment used in custodial work.Ability to:
Work efficiently under pressure. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work. Respond to emergency callbacks on matters affecting maintenance and safety. Perform a wide variety of building maintenance tasks. Use computers to input/update work orders. Follow recommended procedures and techniques to safely perform duties. Must be able to communicate in English (speaking, writing, and reading) at a level to safely and effectively perform the essential functions.Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting, squatting, crawling, and climbing stairs. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. Occasional work at a rapid pace. Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing of ladders. Frequent body twisting and reaching. Frequent use of balance. Constant standing. Frequent use of tactile, audio, and visual acuity. Frequent use of oral communication. Occasional use of written communication. Constant use of manual dexterity.Protective Equipment:
Frequent use of protective wear for the eyes, ears, head, arms, face, hands, and fingers.Job Type:
