Job Description

Engineering Technician - 2nd
Shift Location:
Toledo, OH Pay:
$35/hour
Shift:
2nd Shift, typically 4:00 PM-12:00
AM Schedule:
Must be flexible for changing hours and weekends
Employment:
Contract-to-Hire / Potential Full-Time Job Responsibilities Troubleshoot assembly equipment and component-related issues to reduce downtime and scrap. Provide technical support for assembly equipment and processes, including dynamic backlash testers, function testers, and NVH equipment. Identify and complete projects involving equipment downtime, cycle-time improvements, quality, and safety. Work with Maintenance and Engineering on equipment and machine repairs. Support continuous improvement initiatives involving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Work with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Operations, and Program Management. Assist Process Engineers with testing and development of tooling for product changes and new program launches. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for components, assemblies, and tooling. Support process changes and change-management procedures. Provide PLC and Fanuc robot technical support. Perform other assigned duties. Requirements Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Experience with automation equipment and processes. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with limited supervision. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. Additional Information This position is intended to transition to a full-time employee. The schedule may change based on customer demand, so flexibility with hours and weekends is required.
Pay:
$35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
