Job Description
The Packaging Development Manager plays a crucial role in identifying, developing, and introducing innovative packaging solutions to broaden the Company's reach in vertical markets. These solutions encompass a range of products such as bottles, jars, caps, containers, and flexible packaging across different substrates. Emphasis is placed on enhancing the Company's competitiveness and meeting the customers' evolving needs. To be considered for this job, you must speak Mandarin. Essential
JOB DUTIES
Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Launch new products and monitor their performance. Recommend improvements as needed. Define packaging requirements and specifications, ensure that the development process is aligned with the Company's goals and timeline. Create and maintain database of existing and newly developed packaging, including new substrates or styles. Oversee the testing and evaluation of prototypes. Define functional requirements for new packaging. Collaborate with Company's Asia Team and domestic procurement to identify potential suppliers, domestic and overseas, that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Must speak Mandarin. Align sourcing strategies with Company's overall goals and objectives. Coordinate with Sales, Asia Team, and procurement to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions of sale with suppliers. Work alongside Sales Department to support customer's packaging R&D needs. Implement supplier cost reduction and optimize procurement processes. Analyze existing suppliers to guide decisions, reduce supply-chain risks, evaluate supplier performance, predict future demands, and communicate insights. Conduct research to identify market needs and new packaging product opportunities. Support and train the sales team on new packaging products.QUALIFICATIONS

The ability to think creatively and solve problems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to develop and test new ideas quickly. Strong strategic primary packaging procurement skills. Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Excellent communication (Bilingual a plus) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and make informed decisions. Attention to detail with the ability to ensure that packaging meet customer requirements and quality standards. Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand customer needs and preferences, and design packaging products that meet these requirements. The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training: Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Material Science or in a related discipline required. Master's degree in Packaging Engineer, Business or Lean Manufacturing a plus. Excellent computer skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Any combination of experience, education, and training provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.Pay:
