Position SummaryThe Industrial Engineer plays a key role in driving operational excellence by improving productivity, optimizing manufacturing processes, and reducing operational costs. Through the application of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, this role partners closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to enhance production efficiency, improve material flow, and eliminate waste across manufacturing operations.

The Industrial Engineer serves as a change agent within the organization, leading process improvement initiatives that support world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

What You'll Do Drive Continuous ImprovementLead Lean initiatives including Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and waste elimination effortsImplement and sustain Lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, SMED, Kanban, and Poka-YokePromote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Optimize Productivity and Labor EfficiencyConduct time studies and develop labor standards to improve productivityAnalyze staffing requirements and support line balancing and capacity planningIdentify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and increase operational efficiencyImprove Manufacturing ProcessesEvaluate and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment utilizationOptimize plant layout, production flow, and material movement throughout the facilityDevelop and maintain Value Stream Maps to support improved production performanceLeverage Data to Drive ResultsMonitor and analyze key operational metrics including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and CostIdentify trends and opportunities related to scrap reduction, productivity improvements, and cost savingsDevelop dashboards and reporting tools to support data-driven decision making.

The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical fitness to include movements, positioning, remaining stationary which include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing). Frequent use of company communication devices are required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.
