SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Superintendent to lead night shift operations in our window manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for overseeing production, safety, quality, staffing, and overall operational performance during the assigned shift. The Plant Superintendent will work closely with supervisors and department leaders to ensure production goals are met while maintaining a safe and positive work environment.
What To Expect:
Lead and support night shift production operations across assigned departmentsEnsure all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards are followedMonitor production schedules and drive performance to meet daily goalsCoach, mentor, and develop supervisors and hourly team membersEnsure quality standards are maintained and production issues are addressed promptlyPartner with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiencyConduct shift meetings and communicate plant priorities and expectationsMonitor attendance, staffing levels, and labor utilizationSupport continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence effortsEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresComplete production reports and communicate shift updates to plant leadership
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience requiredPrior experience in window, glass, or similar manufacturing environment preferredStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead in a fast-paced production environmentExperience in managing supervisors and large employee groupsKnowledge of safety regulations and manufacturing best practicesBilingual English/SpanishProficient with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems
Work Environment:
The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical fitness to include movements, positioning, remaining stationary which include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing). Frequent use of company communication devices are required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.
