WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As a Sr. Industrial Engineer, you will play a crucial role supporting ongoing operational improvements and future automation initiatives within the Williston facility; optimize processes and systems to enhance efficiency, productivity and overall product quality; key member with the implementation of brake press automation, real-time data monitoring, vision systems and additional automated technologies; lead Capital Projects by coordinating with contractors, managing action plans, and partnering with leadership to meet key project milestones; support the tool room by ensuring we maintain the technical knowledge required to fabricate complex components.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Analyze and evaluate existing processes to identify inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions to enhance operations. Work closely with Management, Production team, and Manufacturing Engineers to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Use AutoCAD for Facility and Equipment layouts as it relates to FFV, Kaizen, and Projects. Works with Maintenance to support Machine Uptime and Reliability through PLC Programming, Vision System, Robotics, and Automation. Leads CAPEX projects by providing technical assistance and updating management on key milestone dates. Capable of designing tooling and fixturing for various equipment in the facility. Leads implementation of Real Time Data Monitoring for critical equipment in the facility. Ensure work processes adhere to safety standards and regulations. Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control. Develop, implement, monitor and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and workflow. Coordinate with design engineering about product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods. Provide manufacturing data, production control charts, reliability, process capability, to improve the process and monitor and measure progress. Explore new technologies to aid in the redesign to simplify our process and eliminate waste. Assist Maintenance team with troubleshooting critical equipment. Maintain work within framework of OSHA and NEC guidelines. Maintain focus on continuous improvement through researching and sourcing innovative, cost-efficient business solutions Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering; 7+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, statistical process control, and lean manufacturing principles. Strong project management skills to oversee improvement projects and ensure timely completion. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and present findings. Proficient in Solid Works and AutoCAD. Knowledge of PLC programming and Machine Automation. Strong Problem-Solving skills and the ability to work independently. Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor. Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols. Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations.
