About Us We are looking for a great plant person! District Green Plants is a locally owned business based in Alexandria, VA, servicing Washington, DC and the surrounding DMV region. Our goal is to provide and maintain beautiful plants in commercial office environments. We are growing quickly and are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Interior Plant Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. A minimum of one year of experience as an Interior Plant Technician is preferred. This position is expected to work 2-3 days per week . Days may vary depending on workload, but we strive to provide a consistent schedule. You will be trained for approximately one month before servicing accounts independently. We expect there to be a learning curve, and we will provide the support needed for your success. However, we are looking for someone who already has a solid foundation in basic plant care and maintenance. Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance of interior plants in commercial office buildings. Water, prune, dust, fertilize, and monitor plants for pests and health issues. Report plant or customer concerns to the office. Periodically assist with interior plant installations and seasonal plant rotations. Qualifications At least one year of experience as an Interior Plant Technician preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required. This position requires driving between customer accounts throughout Washington, DC and the surrounding DMV area. Mileage is reimbursed. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of common tropical plant species, plant care, and plant health issues is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Physical ability to walk, stand, lift, and carry plants and supplies throughout the day. Please note that this job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Pay:

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
