Manufacturing Engineer The Peggs Company | Manufacturing Are you an engineer who would rather be on the production floor solving problems than sitting behind a desk all day? The Peggs Company is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to help improve the way we build our products. You'll work directly with our production, fabrication, maintenance, quality, and R&D teams to design practical solutions that improve efficiency, quality, safety, and manufacturability. What You'll Be Working On Designing and improving jigs, fixtures, templates, tooling, and shop aids Troubleshooting mechanical and production issues directly on the manufacturing floor Improving manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, waste, defects, and rework Supporting prototype builds and new or custom products Working alongside welders, fabricators, assemblers, maintenance, and production teams Improving workstation layouts, workflows, and manufacturing processes Creating CAD models, engineering drawings, and tooling specifications Supporting Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects Performing root-cause analysis and implementing practical solutions Supporting product testing and documentation, including applicable ASTM standards What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience Approximately 2+ years of manufacturing/mechanical engineering experience ; strong internship and practical experience may also be considered Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and shop prints Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment
