  • We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Plant Design Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles. From concept to execution, the Plant Design Engineer will be responsible for developing innovative and efficient solutions that meet project requirements and exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints throughout the company. Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD). Develop facility and building layouts to support equipment installations, production processes, personnel access, utilities, and future expansion (AutoCAD and Revit). Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses to evaluate design options and make informed decisions. Create detailed engineering drawings, models, and specifications according to industry standards and best practices. Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and optimize performance. Prepare construction documents and assist in bid packages or permit applications. Communicate and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met. Stay informed about emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to mechanical design. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. 3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit) and other engineering tools for design and facility layout. Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
