Job Description
Automation Engineer Oxford, CT $100,000-$125,000 Monday-Friday | Days | Onsite High Speed Manufacturing Plant We're recruiting for an experienced Automation Engineer to join an established manufacturing facility and contract manufacturing company in Oxford, CT. This is an excellent opportunity to lead complex automation projects involving robotics, PLCs, tooling and advanced manufacturing systems . You will help improve production efficiency, quality and scalability while supporting new equipment and product introductions. Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming, robotics and manufacturing automation is required. What You'll Do Lead automation, robotics and tooling projects from concept through implementation Program and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment Integrate and optimize 3-axis, 5-axis and 6-axis robotics Design parts, fixtures and End-of-Arm Tooling using SolidWorks or Cimatron Support vision systems, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics and motion controls Lead new equipment, product and automation validation Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement corrective actions Manage capital equipment specifications, justification and installation Improve automation performance, downtime, cost and process capability Develop automation standards and mentor engineers and technicians What We're Looking For 5+ years' automation or manufacturing engineering experience Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills Experience integrating and programming industrial robots Knowledge of EOAT, fixture design, vision systems and sensors Understanding of low-voltage controls and three-phase power Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings SolidWorks, Cimatron or similar 3D CAD experience Knowledge of machine safety standards and risk assessments Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering preferred Apply Click Apply or contact: Sam Wild 945-256-5118 sam@axionrecruitment.com
