About the
Role:
The Design Engineer plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by designing, developing, and optimizing tailored products that meet specific client requirements. This position involves collaborating closely with clients, sales teams, and production departments to translate custom specifications into manufacturable solutions. The engineer ensures that all custom products comply with quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules, driving innovation and efficiency throughout the product lifecycle. By leveraging technical expertise and problem-solving skills, the Design Engineer contributes to enhancing customer satisfaction and competitive advantage. Ultimately, this role is essential for delivering bespoke manufacturing solutions that align with both client needs and company capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Associate's degree in engineering or a related technical field.

Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with custom product engineering or manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather and analyze custom product requirements.

Maintain organized and accurate engineering files and records within company systems.

Design and develop custom product solutions using CAD software and engineering principles.

Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing.

Provide technical support during the manufacturing process and resolve any engineering issues that arise.

Continuously improve custom product designs based on feedback and performance data.

Manage project timelines and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Prepare and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) for custom designs in support of manufacturing and MRP requirements.
Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software enables the engineer to create detailed models and drawings that guide production teams effectively.
