Senior Design Engineer:
The Senior Design Engineer will work with a team of up to 10 Design Engineers to create mechanical products and systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements and expectations. Job Duties & Responsibilities of the
Senior Design Engineer:
Lead engineering projects by analyzing customer requirements, market trends, and competitor products; assigning tasks to team members and overseeing progress. Conduct research and design evaluations of mechanical systems and products using principles of mechanics, hydraulics, and materials. Test product capabilities and design feasibility to ensure quality and functionality. Develop new products by researching manufacturing methods and materials, and gathering feedback from operators. Improve manufacturing processes to reduce costs and enhance efficiency through equipment design and modification. Ensure product quality through testing, fabrication, and assembly processes. Compile product reports by analyzing data and trends. Provide engineering support and information to internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices through continuous learning and networking. Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals. Education & Experience Requirements of the
Senior Design Engineer :
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required. Minimum of 5 years experience as an Engineer. Experience in heavy haul trailer and heavy equipment engineering is a plus. Proficient in Excel and design software systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and understanding of business practices for automation opportunities. Knowledge of cost accounting and lean enterprise principles. Quick learner and adaptable to new tools and systems.
