Job Description

Position Summary This position will play a key role in implementing smart manufacturing solutions designed to improve efficiency, equipment performance, data visibility, and overall plant operations. Responsibilities Lead automation and manufacturing digitization projects involving robotics, IIoT, MES, machine connectivity, and data analytics. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for automation, improved data collection, and technology upgrades. Implement and support IIoT sensors, machine-monitoring systems, digital work instructions, and connected manufacturing tools. Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and IT to successfully implement and commission new technologies. Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and other automated equipment. Utilize OEE, downtime analysis, and machine data to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement. Develop and maintain PFMEAs, process flows, control plans, standard work, and other manufacturing documentation. Coordinate with equipment suppliers and integrators throughout equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and acceptance. Train manufacturing and technical teams on newly implemented systems and technologies. Ensure automation and connected manufacturing systems meet applicable safety and cybersecurity requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. 3+ years of manufacturing engineering, automation engineering, or Industry 4.0 experience. Hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, SCADA/MES systems, vision systems, and/or IIoT technologies. Knowledge of machine connectivity, manufacturing data collection, and industrial communication protocols. Experience managing or leading technical projects within a manufacturing environment. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills. Experience with digital twins, automated inspection systems, advanced manufacturing analytics, or similar technologies is a plus.

$100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
