Job Description
Job Summary VX Aerospace Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Engineer to join our UAV manufacturing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to contribute to the design, development, testing, and production of advanced unmanned aerial systems. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to support the development and production of Group 2 and Group 3 composite UAV platforms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and manufacturing of UAV systems and components.
- Assist in creating and maintaining engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Participate in tooling development, prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.
- Prepare engineering reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product quality, reliability, and production efficiency.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of Manufacturing and design processes
- Assist with configuration management and documentation control processes.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Support flight test preparations, data collection, and post-flight analysis when required.
- Maintain accurate records of engineering activities and project progress. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- A willingness to get dirty doing hands-on training in a composite manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving techniques.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience related to aerospace, robotics, UAVs, manufacturing, or autonomous systems.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Key Competencies
