Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Project Manager, the Engineering Project Manage r will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital and operational improvement projects within a manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while supporting overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects involving the installation, upgrade, and optimization of manufacturing equipment to enhance operational efficiency and production capabilities. Drive initiatives focused on automation, mechanization, and the implementation of emerging technologies. Create project scopes, technical specifications, facility layouts, budgets, and implementation plans while collaborating with external vendors and suppliers. Manage multiple projects concurrently across various manufacturing locations. Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor milestones, and communicate progress through project management tools and reporting systems. Provide hands-on support during project execution, ensuring designs and solutions align with operational requirements. Coordinate contractors, suppliers, internal resources, and project expenditures to achieve successful outcomes. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and ensure project deliverables contribute to operational performance and long-term business goals.
Qualifications:
Experience managing projects within the food and beverage industry, including environments such as food manufacturing, beverage production, hospitality, food service, catering, or restaurant operations. Minimum of 2-4 years of project management experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting. Proficiency with project and design software, including CAD applications, Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and effectively coordinate resources. Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in manufacturing operations. Experience supporting projects in a private-sector production or manufacturing environment. Proven ability to collaborate across departments, influence stakeholders, and lead teams toward shared objectives. Results-oriented professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Comfortable presenting project plans, timelines, and updates using scheduling and project management tools. Willingness to spend time on the production floor partnering with operations and technical teams throughout project execution. Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive, with a continuous-improvement mindset. Ability to travel up to 25% in support of projects at additional company locations.
