The ideal candidate will have a strong CNC machining background along with experience supervising people, coordinating production schedules, and keeping work flowing efficiently through the department. Responsibilities Supervise and provide daily direction to CNC machinists and other machining personnel Oversee CNC milling, CNC turning/lathe, grinding and related machining operations Plan and manage daily production schedules and work priorities Assign jobs based on workload, machine availability and employee skill level Monitor production to ensure jobs are completed on time and meet quality requirements Assist machinists with troubleshooting machining, tooling and setup issues Coordinate with production, engineering, quality and other departments Monitor productivity, downtime and workflow Help train and develop machinists Ensure employees follow safety procedures and company policies Support continuous improvement efforts within the machining department Qualifications Strong CNC machining background Experience with CNC mills and lathes; grinding experience is a plus Previous supervisory, lead or machining leadership experience Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances Good understanding of tooling, setups and machining processes Experience scheduling and prioritizing work in a manufacturing environment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively lead and communicate with a team of skilled machinists Why Consider This Opportunity?
