Job Description

We are customer-driven. We are craftsmen. We are Plain & Fancy. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position plays a key role in the quality and precision of our high-end cabinetry.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, update, and maintain engineering drawings, cut lists, CNC programs, and production documentation Translate customer specifications, architectural plans, and design requests into accurate, manufacturable engineering packages Collaborate with production, operations, procurement, and customer service teams to resolve technical questions and support smooth workflow Review designs for manufacturability, material efficiency, and compliance with company standards Support new product development, including prototyping, testing, and documentation of new designs or construction methods Maintain and improve engineering standards, templates, and best practices Troubleshoot design or production issues related to fit, function, materials, or construction methods Assist in implementing engineering changes, product updates, and continuous improvement initiatives Work with CNC programmers and machine operators to ensure accurate toolpaths and efficient machining processes Provide technical support for custom projects, specialty requests, and non standard configurations
Qualifications:
Experience in engineering or technical design, ideally within woodworking, cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, or related industries Proficiency with CAD software and engineering documentation tools Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design and production challenges Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to collaborate effectively with production, operations, sales, and customer service teams Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment Experience with CNC programming or CAM software is a plus Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering workflows is beneficial Benefits include: Four and a half day work week - Monday through Thursday 7am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-12pm Exceptional health, dental, vision coverage 401k plan, Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation, & More How to
