Day Shift Pay:
17.00-25.00/hour, depending on experience Bilingual English/Spanish Required for Lead. Crown Plastics is a growing plastic injection molding manufacturer building a stronger, more structured production team. These positions are part of our production advancement path, with clear expectations for increasing technical skill, independence, quality responsibility, and leadership. ______________________________ Production Technician I Entry-level production technician responsible for safely and consistently operating assigned production processes. Key Responsibilities Operate assigned machines and production processes safely. Follow work instructions, quality standards, and production requirements. Inspect parts and identify obvious defects. Properly pack, label, count, and palletize finished product. Complete required production documentation. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Immediately report machine, quality, or safety issues. Learn basic machine operation and troubleshooting.
Successful Tech I:
Reliable, follows instructions, produces quality work, and can independently run assigned standard production processes after training. ______________________________ Production Technician II Experienced production technician capable of independently running multiple production processes and assisting with floor problem-solving. Includes all Technician I responsibilities, plus: Independently operate multiple machines/processes. Perform routine process adjustments and basic troubleshooting within training limits. Recognize quality or process problems and respond appropriately. Assist with machine startups, changeovers, and production transitions as trained. Help train and support Technician I employees. Verify production counts, packaging, labels, and customer-ready product. Demonstrate consistent productivity, quality, attendance, and safety performance.
Successful Tech II:
Can be trusted to independently manage assigned production, recognize problems early, and help less-experienced employees succeed. ______________________________ Production Lead Bilingual English/Spanish Required The Production Lead is responsible for keeping the shift organized, staffed, productive, and moving according to schedule. This is primarily a people and production coordination role , working closely with the Mold Technician who is responsible for technical machine operation, setup, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Direct and support production employees throughout the shift. Assign operators to machines and work areas based on the production schedule and current needs. Monitor production flow and make sure employees have the instructions, materials, packaging, and support needed to keep working. Coordinate employee breaks and lunches while maintaining appropriate production coverage. Step in to cover operator breaks, lunches, or temporary staffing gaps when needed. Monitor employee performance, work quality, productivity, attendance, and adherence to procedures. Train, coach, and provide day-to-day direction to Production Technicians and Operators. Make sure employees follow work instructions, quality standards, packing requirements, labeling procedures, and safety expectations. Monitor the production floor for interruptions or machines requiring attention. Work closely with the Mold Technician to keep production running and identify problems early. Notify the Mold Technician when a machine signals for attention or when an operator reports a problem. Pause production when appropriate to prevent continued production of questionable parts or while waiting for technical assistance. Verify production counts, customer-ready product, and required shift documentation. Communicate production status, staffing issues, quality concerns, downtime, and other important information during shift handoff. Escalate significant production, employee, quality, or safety issues to management. ______________________________ What We Are Looking For Reliable, dependable, and ready to work as part of a production team. Able to follow work instructions, quality standards, safety procedures, and production priorities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and staying productive throughout the shift. Good attention to detail and willing to speak up when something does not look right. Able to communicate clearly with Production Leads, Mold Technicians, Quality, and other team members. Willing to learn multiple production processes and take on additional responsibility as skills develop. Team-oriented and willing to help where needed, including providing production coverage during breaks and staffing gaps. Previous manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required for Technician I. Technician II candidates should have demonstrated manufacturing experience and the ability to work independently. Lead candidates should have previous production experience and demonstrated ability to organize, direct, train, and support other employees. Bilingual English/Spanish required for Production Lead. Successful Production Lead A successful Production Lead keeps the people organized and the production moving . They know where employees should be, make sure breaks and lunches happen with proper coverage, recognize problems early, communicate with the Mold Technician, and keep management informed without trying to personally solve every technical issue. Requirements Bilingual English/Spanish required . Able to communicate clearly with production employees and management. Demonstrated reliability, organization, and leadership ability. Able to understand production priorities and coordinate multiple employees/work areas. Willing and able to work directly on the production floor and provide operator coverage when necessary. Able to complete and verify required production documentation. Pay $17.00•$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and level of placement.
