As a wholly owned subsidiary of a leading biotech enterprise, SDIX is committed to advancing scientific innovation and supporting groundbreaking research. This role will support the overall GMP downstream manufacturing process in the production of monoclonal antibodies and serum-based reagents by executing approved protocols and utilizing basic knowledge of biology and chemistry. Key responsibilities include purification, adsorption, filtration, preparation of biological materials, and general laboratory operations while adhering to established SOPs and cGMP requirements. Additionally, the individual will maintain the laboratory in proper working order by organizing and procuring supplies, performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, ensuring reagent organization, and maintaining general laboratory hygiene.Duties:
- Perform a variety of basic laboratory techniques.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation.
- Document production history using SOPs and Master Batch Records in a GMP environment.
- Communicate all aspects of projects with peers and supervisors both orally and in writing.
- Cross-train to support both monoclonal antibody purification and serum adsorption manufacturing processes and perform duties in either laboratory as production demands require.
- Perform additional job duties necessary in manufacturing areas as assigned.
Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Ability to safely handle human and animal-derived biological materials using appropriate biosafety practices.
- Have a basic understanding and knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions
- Familiarity with SOP's
- Proficiency in basic lab equipment.
- Ability to lift or move 30 lbs throughout laboratory area
Education:
- BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field or equivalent industry experience.
- 0 to 3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with QSR, cGMP, and ISO regulations and guidelines, optional
