This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in PCB assembly, electronic component soldering, through-hole soldering, SMT/SMD rework, wiring, cable assembly, and electronics manufacturing. The technician will work directly with our engineering and production teams to assemble, solder, inspect, rework, test, and prepare electronic products and circuit boards for production. Responsibilities Perform high-quality hand soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. Solder through-hole and surface-mount (SMT/SMD) components. Perform PCB rework, component replacement, touch-up, and repair. Assemble electronic devices according to drawings, schematics, work instructions, and bills of materials. Install connectors, terminals, switches, sensors, modules, wires, and other electronic components. Build and terminate wire harnesses and cable assemblies. Perform crimping, stripping, cutting, and preparation of electrical wiring. Inspect solder joints and assemblies for workmanship and manufacturing defects. Use microscopes, soldering stations, hot-air rework equipment, multimeters, hand tools, and other electronics manufacturing equipment. Identify incorrect components, solder bridges, cold solder joints, polarity issues, damaged components, and other assembly defects. Assist with basic electrical and functional testing of completed assemblies. Follow ESD procedures and electronics manufacturing best practices. Maintain organized workstations, tools, components, and production materials. Document assembly, rework, inspection, and production issues. Work with engineers to troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly problems. Support prototype builds as well as regular production runs. Maintain consistent workmanship and focus on building products correctly the first time. Qualifications Previous experience with electronics soldering, PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or electronic repair preferred. Strong hand-soldering skills. Experience with through-hole soldering required or strongly preferred. Experience with SMT/SMD soldering and rework preferred. Ability to identify common electronic components and component polarity. Ability to read basic assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions. Experience using a multimeter and basic electronics test equipment preferred. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to perform repetitive precision work while maintaining consistent quality. Ability to troubleshoot basic assembly and workmanship problems.
