JOB POSITION

Fits and assembles machined parts and castings into the final product according to drawings and specifications, using machine tools, power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments: Observes functioning of unit and instruments to adjust alignment and clearances and to assure operation according to specifications. Deburr, buff, and/or polish parts as needed. Properly package products and prepare for shipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assemble machined components into final product by following Assembly Process Instructions. Perform Deburring/Buffing/Polishing operations. Properly package and prepare for shipment of final products by following Standard Operating Procedures. Complete daily production logs and inventory control slips. Communicate with other operators. Clean and maintain work area. Turn off equipment when not in use. Perform back up for Shipper/Receiver. Keep the Front Office up to date on low inventory for stocked items. Assist in counting inventory as needed. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in manufacturing preferred, but not required. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and assembly tasks. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Quickly able to learn new computer skills.
