1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM-2:00 PM)
Pay Range:
$20.00/hour We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to support the manufacturing, assembly, and packaging of medical device products. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level manufacturing professional interested in working in a regulated medical device production environment. The Manufacturing Technician will receive training and follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/cGMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), safety requirements, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform manufacturing, assembly, and packaging activities for medical device products. Wash components and equipment as required. Assemble and/or glue components according to established procedures. Wrap components and equipment for sterilization. Prepare medical devices for sterilization. Package and seal finished devices. Perform final packaging and labeling of products. Operate general production equipment such as sealers, autoclaves, stir plates, and related equipment. Maintain a clean and organized production area in accordance with GMP requirements. Receive and distribute supplies to the production area as needed. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE while working on the manufacturing or warehouse floor. Follow SOPs, GMP/cGMP requirements, quality standards, and written work instructions. Complete all required training within established timelines. Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Basic English written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions. Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions, including words and basic drawings. Basic mathematics skills. Ability to follow detailed procedures and quality requirements. Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment.
Preferred:
Previous manufacturing or production experience. Medical device manufacturing experience. Pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing experience. Cleanroom experience. GMP/cGMP experience. Assembly, packaging, or labeling experience. Experience operating production equipment. Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
Work may be performed in a cleanroom environment. Required PPE may include scrubs, hair bonnets, frocks, hoods, masks, gloves, and safety glasses depending on cleanroom classification. Some responsibilities may rotate among different production functions. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for a minimum of 8 hours during the workday, with scheduled breaks. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds individually. Ability to lift up to 65 pounds with a team lift. Ability to push and pull carts containing products or solution containers. Ability to perform repetitive hand movements. Frequent handling of objects and materials. Frequent fine hand coordination. Ability to perform simple and firm hand grasping. Vision of 20/25 or better, with or without corrective lenses. (TB-R2) #IND1
