ISAT Total Support /Tomarco is a leading provider of seismic engineering consulting services, and the related products and hardware used for nonstructural seismic bracing and the support of Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping systems. Our focus is geared toward building utility systems within the commercial and industrial construction markets. Our primary focus includes but is not limited to, HVAC, mechanical, piping, distributed electrical systems, plumbing, process piping & fire protection contractors. Headquartered in Southern California, ISAT also has offices in Northern California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Georgia, North Carolina, Chicago, Atlanta, New Zealand, New York, Texas, and Puerto Rico. Additional expansion is expected. The Prep & Hanger Technician is responsible for surface preparation, loading, hanging, and unloading of metal parts, assemblies, and components throughout the powder coating process. This role performs cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, staging, and visual inspection activities in accordance with work orders and company quality standards. This position plays a vital role in maintaining production efficiency, workplace safety, and the delivery of high-quality finished products.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare metal parts and components for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and inspecting surfaces. Remove dirt, oil, grease, rust, and other contaminants using approved cleaning methods and equipment. Mask and protect designated areas to meet customer and production specifications. Load, hang, and secure parts onto production racks and conveyor systems. Unload finished products and move materials to the appropriate production or staging areas. Stage materials and prepare work orders for powder coating operations. Perform visual inspections before and after coating to verify product quality and compliance with specifications. Safely operate hand tools, grinders, sanders, and other preparation equipment. Assist powder coating personnel with production, material handling, and workflow support as needed. Maintain accurate production records and communicate quality concerns to supervisors. Properly wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, and steel-toe footwear. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and quality requirements. Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents. Practice safe lifting and material handling techniques when moving parts, materials, and equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and team production goals. Perform other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned to support production and business operations.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous manufacturing, powder coating, metal finishing, painting, or production experience preferred. Ability to read and follow work instructions and production schedules. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
