Production Fabrication Technician CNC & Custom Fabrication

Job Description

About Us Greenscapes is a premier creator of large-scale, custom botanical installations and sculptural tree elements for luxury commercial environments worldwide. Our work is featured in high-end resorts, casinos, retail destinations, and hospitality spaces—where artistry, engineering, technology, and craftsmanship converge to create truly immersive environments. Position Overview We are seeking a Production Fabrication Technician with CNC experience to join our Las Vegas production team. This position is particularly well suited for someone with hands-on experience operating CNC equipment who also enjoys building, sculpting, and creating physical products. The ideal candidate combines CNC and technical aptitude with hands-on fabrication skills and is comfortable moving between digital fabrication equipment and traditional shop tools. As part of our production team, you will contribute directly to the creation of custom trees, botanical structures, and sculptural elements using a variety of materials and processes, including CNC machining, foam fabrication and carving, epoxy molding, coatings, texturing, painting, and detailed finishing work. This is an opportunity to apply CNC experience in a highly creative production environment while developing specialized fabrication skills within a unique niche that blends digital fabrication, art, engineering, and architectural elements.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Operation & Digital Fabrication Operate CNC equipment to cut, shape, carve, and produce components used in custom fabrication projects Set up CNC machinery, materials, tooling, and workholding for production runs Load and execute CNC programs and make appropriate machine adjustments during production Monitor CNC operations to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and consistent results Perform routine machine inspections, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance Identify and troubleshoot common CNC machining or production issues Work with production leads to translate drawings, designs, and fabrication requirements into finished components Assist with optimizing material usage, machining sequences, and production efficiency Support the continued development of Greenscapes' CNC and digital fabrication capabilities Experience with CNC routers and machining of foam, wood, composites, or similar materials is highly desirable. Fabrication & Build Support Fabricate custom tree structures, botanical elements, and sculptural components Work with internal armatures, substrates, foam, epoxies, and structural components Measure, cut, shape, fit, and assemble materials according to drawings and production requirements Support multi-phase builds from raw materials through final assembly Utilize both CNC equipment and traditional fabrication methods depending on project requirements Foam Carving & Sculpting Shape and refine foam components using CNC equipment, power tools, and hand-carving techniques Perform secondary hand-finishing of CNC-produced components Interpret design intent to create organic forms, textures, and natural details Collaborate with senior fabricators and artists to achieve desired aesthetics Blend digitally fabricated components with hand-crafted elements to create natural, realistic forms Surface Finishing & Texturing Apply coatings, textures, and specialty finishes to replicate natural bark and organic surfaces Participate in painting, staining, sculpting, and detailing processes Prepare CNC-produced components for subsequent coating and finishing operations Maintain consistency and quality across multiple pieces within a project Produce finished work appropriate for high-end commercial and hospitality environments Production Workflow & Material Preparation Prepare and stage materials for CNC machining and other fabrication processes Organize components and work areas to support efficient production flow Assist in transitioning pieces through CNC, fabrication, sculpting, finishing, and assembly phases Minimize material waste and identify opportunities to improve production efficiency Quality & Craftsmanship Standards Inspect CNC-produced components for dimensional accuracy and quality Inspect materials and in-process work throughout fabrication Follow detailed specifications, drawings, dimensions, and direction from production leads Identify quality issues before components move to subsequent production stages Take pride in delivering work that meets Greenscapes' high standards of craftsmanship Shop Environment & Safety Safely operate CNC machinery, hand tools, power tools, and other production equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe CNC and fabrication workspace Follow established machine safety, PPE, dust-control, and material-handling procedures Properly manage waste and scrap generated during CNC machining and fabrication
Qualifications:

This is not a typical CNC operator or production position. Rather than manufacturing the same component repeatedly, our team creates one-of-a-kind, large-scale installations for some of the world's most recognizable hospitality, entertainment, retail, and commercial environments. For someone with CNC experience, this position provides an opportunity to take traditional machining and digital fabrication skills into a much more creative environment—combining CNC technology with sculpting, fabrication, finishing, and artistry. You'll gain hands-on experience in a specialized craft environment and have opportunities to grow into advanced CNC/digital fabrication, production fabrication, finishing, or leadership roles.
