Manufacturing Technician

Role:

As a Manufacturing Technician , you'll work with a variety of tools, equipment, and production processes to build and assemble critical electrical equipment. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, safety, and the ability to send technical documentation are important.

What You'll Work With:

Assemble and build transformer and switchgear components Perform core cutting, lamination stacking, core assembly, and coil/wire winding Assemble mechanical and electrical components, including control panels and sub

•assemblies Perform electrical wiring and point-to-point connections Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment Read blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) Perform visual, dimensional, and basic electrical inspections Assist with vacuum drying, taking, liquid/oil filling, pressure/leak testing, and gas-filling processes Operate or work around overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and lifting equipment Maintain accurate production, material traceability, and quality records using digital tracking systems Follow 5S, electrical safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and high-voltage safety procedures

What We're Looking For:

High School Diploma or GED 1-3+ years of manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or electrical assembly experience Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical work instructions Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches Basic mechanical and/or electrical aptitude Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods Comfortable working around heavy machinery, overhead cranes, and high-voltage test environments Ability to safely wear required

PPE Preferred Experience:

Experience with any of the following is a plus: Transformer winding or assembly Switchgear or RMU assembly Vacuum oil-filling systems Pressure or leak testing Overhead crane or forklift operation OSHA safety certifications Facility startups, equipment commissioning, or process stabilization
