Job Description
Overview:
Welding Engineer- Supplier Oversight (Welding & NDT Engineering) We are seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to join our Supplier Oversight Group, supporting the fabrication of critical components used in the construction of nuclear submarines.
SUPSHIP, NAVSEA
customers, and internal Electric Boat stakeholders. Travel to supplier locations as needed, typically up to one week at a time and up to once per month.Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology in one of the following disciplines:- Mechanical Engineering
- Welding Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Materials Engineering (with a focus on metallic materials) Minimum of 5 years of postgraduate engineering experience in an industrial welding environment, shipbuilding, or other heavy fabrication settings.
