Role :

We are looking for a capable Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical oversight for our 3rd shift welding operations located at Davenport Works within the Fabrication Department. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for optimizing production uptime, resolving complex welding process challenges, and driving continuous manufacturing improvements. Core Responsibilities Ensure 3rd shift production runs smoothly to maximize operational uptime and overall output. Provide technical guidance to operators, maintenance personnel, and salaried staff to resolve production-related obstacles. Identify and fix issues related to MES, as well as both automated and manual welding systems. Deliver training to operators regarding equipment usage and standardized processes. Facilitate the successful rollout and execution of both new and existing manufacturing workflows. Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation. Contribute to various process enhancement initiatives and project-based assignments. Required Qualifications Proven experience working with both manual and robotic welding configurations. Familiarity with Fanuc robotic welding systems is highly desirable. Strong analytical ability to diagnose and resolve issues in automated and manual manufacturing setups. Capacity to operate effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member. Adaptability when navigating ambiguous or rapidly evolving operational scenarios. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Reliability in tracking and completing work tickets, action items, and team correspondence. High level of proficiency in technical documentation. Competence in Microsoft Office tools, with a focus on Excel and Outlook. Desired Skills We are seeking a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. Expertise in welding automation, specifically with Fanuc robotics. A proactive problem-solver who can manage production support tasks with minimal oversight during off-shift hours.

Compensation and Benefits :

The base pay for this position is $47.13 per hour. Non-exempt staff qualify for overtime pay at 1.5 times the standard rate for hours exceeding 40 per week, subject to legal requirements. Final compensation is based on your specific experience, education, and skill set.
