Job Description Nordson is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to design, develop, and support custom electro-mechanical test fixtures for both new product development (NPD) and sustaining engineering efforts. This role will own test solutions from concept through execution, partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams.   • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of engineering experience (ideal range: 4-10 years)
  • 4-6+ years of hands-on LabVIEW development experience, including creating automated test solutions from the ground up
  • Experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and instrumentation
  • 2+ years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks, including designing fixtures, assemblies, and fabricated components
  • Experience integrating electrical components such as sensors, motors, actuators, relays, power supplies, and motion control systems
  • Proven ability to independently lead engineering projects from concept through implementation
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and production engineers Self-starter with an ownership mindset and ability to work with minimal directio Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal National Instruments training or certifications
  • Experience developing automated reliability, validation, or production test fixtures
  • Background in motion control, pneumatics, and automated mechanical systems Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electro-mechanical test fixtures and automated test systems for new product development and existing products
  • Create mechanical fixture designs and assemblies using SolidWorks
  • Develop LabVIEW applications for automation, data acquisition, and test control
  • Execute qualification and reliability testing, collect data, and analyze results
  • Partner with internal customers to define test requirements and recommend improvements based on test findings
  • Support and troubleshoot existing test fixtures while developing new solutions for future products Work hands-on with hardware, electronics, sensors, motors, and instrumentation to validate product performance
