Mechanical Engineering Internship :

This is a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Internship position for a Mechanical Engineering student proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Publisher.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled and on track to graduate with a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks required.
• Should be capable in all standard Windows Office software.
• Must have a hands-on attitude with mechanical aptitude.
• Basic understanding of steel and aluminum manufacturing involving tube bending, machining, welding, and fabrication a plus.
• Ability to operate standard metal shop fabricating equipment a plus.
• FSAE and/or

BAJA SAE

experience a plus.

• Good Communication skills; Oral, Written, & Report Writing.
• Detail Oriented is a must.
• Reports to the Engineering Manager.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create Installation Manuals Aid engineering team during product test fits to become familiar with installation procedures and to create detailed and professional installation instructions for end users. Proficiency in SolidWorks Assembly and Microsoft Publisher required. Assist Engineering Team Assist the engineering team with basic projects that require clear communication with other departments and outside vendors. Good project management, organization and interpersonal skills required.
