Job Description
Company Overview Applied BioCode is an innovative in vitro diagnostics (IVD) company specializing in the design, development, and commercialization of multiplex testing products. The company leverages cutting-edge bio-inspired technologies, including digital barcodes combined with immuno- and molecular chemistry, to advance diagnostic solutions for detecting bacterial and fungal pathogens as well as antimicrobial resistance markers. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced diagnostic instruments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background in medical devices, robotic or related instrument experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that combine robotics, signal processing, and system engineering to enhance diagnostic capabilities. Responsibilities Serve as the subject matter expert for systems and hardware components for Applied BioCode biomedical instruments. Conduct root cause analysis on different types of failure modes to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently for internal and external customers. Develop and execute validation and testing protocols aligned with quality standards such as
ISO 13485
Lead engineering initiatives from feasibility through full production implementation Improve procedures and documentation that support instrumentation manufacturing and production Provide hands-on support for internal systems and engineering troubleshooting Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, manufacturing, and operations Mentor junior engineers and technicians and support their technical development These responsibilities support continuous improvement of our diagnostic instrumentation platforms and overall production efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.Experience Relevant engineering experience:
