Mechanical Engineer Job Description The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop communication devices and accessories, analyzing mechanical samples, creating 2D/3D CAD drawings, and assisting with data collection and root cause analysis. This role supports manufacturing and mechanical engineering activities. Responsibilities Design mechanical systems for various equipment. Collaborate with the hardware team for design feedback. Generate detailed CAD drawings and documentation. Understand and create mechanical Bill-of-Material structures. Solve assembly problems and develop fixtures. Essential Skills Proficient in design software such as Pro Engineer. Strong knowledge in 3D design, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Bill of Materials (BOM). Expertise in fabrication, tooling, and component selection. Solid understanding of assembly processes. Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3+ years of professional design experience. Understanding of advanced engineering concepts and CAD modeling. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $76.92/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
