Overall Activities:

We currently have an opening for an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to support on-site work in Andover, MA and spend time in our Mansfield, MA office. This role will primarily serve clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical space, with some additional work to support our advanced technology, higher education, and research clients in the Southern New England region. Our mechanical engineers design HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and process engineering systems. In this growth position, the successful candidate will work in multi-disciplinary project teams - regularly coordinating with our engineers, as well as architects, general contractors, and other engineering disciplines from other firms. Other client site visits are also a regular part of this position. Above all, Hallam-ICS engineers successfully engage with and satisfy clients and are excited by the opportunity to expand and grow in our business.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering Excellent communication skills. Eager to learn and receptive to feedback. Possess a great attitude, good self-management, technical and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to coordinate with different engineering disciplines and the desire to work in a small, self-directed team environment. Familiar with AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or other software design tools. Familiarity or interest in learning applicable building, mechanical, and fire codes. Familiarity or interest in learning International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) guidelines. Familiarity with current good engineering design practices. A pre-employment drug screening and background check are required.
