Hampton, NH Amphenol Ardent Concepts is a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance multicoax and coaxial assemblies, connectors, and sockets used in the development of next generation semiconductors and electronics systems. Our core technology is the smallest, fastest, most electrically efficient compression mount connector technology worldwide. As data rate requirements increase and devices and systems shrink, Ardent's products deliver superior signal integrity in a dense footprint that can be reusable across programs to maximize cost savings. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The position is located in Hampton, NH.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Mechanical Engineer on our Engineering team, you will evaluate existing manufacturing process and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements. Work collaboratively with the Design Engineering and Production Planning teams. Develop and test effective automated and manual systems Resolve issues and delays in production Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality Train staff in new and existing processes Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations Work with Design Engineers to develop standardized design criteria across all product lines Design and develop new product manufacturing processes Establish an effective and efficient work sequence Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems Optimize manufacturing efficiency by analyzing work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. Design and install equipment Upgrade systems and processes with new technology
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum education requirement of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering 3-5+ years previous experience as a Mechanical Engineering role with a manufacturing process focus or similar role Ability to read, interpret, and create a variety of types of mechanical prints and drawings Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design Proficient in SolidWorks Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques Effective written and verbal communication with an attention to detail Project management experience Organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks Problem-solving ability Amphenol Corporation is proud of our reputation as an excellent employer.
