We are located in Maumee, OH with clients throughout the US and abroad in a variety of manufacturing environments. The Mechanical Designer will primarily be responsible for mechanical and pneumatic design tasks of Automation projects. The Mechanical Designer will also assist with component procurement activities and provide guidance for Automation machine assembly. Job Description for Mechanical Designer - Automation This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Nysus Solutions as described below:

Specific Job Duties:

Ensure automation projects are being designed to meet budget for quoted COGS. Perform mechanical and pneumatic design tasks as assigned. Assist with procurement activities by coordinating designs with preferred suppliers. Work closely with the Director of Engineering and design team to ensure Automation Projects meet customer design specifications. Provide the automation operations team with design drawings and to allow for efficient assembly. Remove roadblocks to ensure success for design activities of the Automation Division. Perform machine building tasks to assist operations team when needed. Ensure projects meet or exceed customer expectations for both quality and performance. Record hours to appropriate categories in the project system. Educational Requirements High School Diploma or GED required.

Related Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of Mechanical Design. Experience using Solidworks and/or Inventor.
