This role supports project teams by ensuring coordination, clash detection, and fabrication-ready drawings that meet project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in BIM modeling or hands on installation for mechanical and plumbing systems. Strong attention to detail is a must.

Essential Functions:

Develop and maintain detailed 3D models of mechanical systems in Revit or other BIM platforms. Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to create coordinated mechanical layouts. Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between trades using Navisworks or similar tools. Generate shop drawings, spool drawings, and fabrication details for mechanical systems. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure constructability and accuracy. Maintain BIM standards and adhere to company protocols for model organization and file management. Assist in updating models based on RFIs, design changes, and as-built conditions. Support prefabrication efforts by providing accurate dimensions and material take-offs. Participate in coordination meetings and communicate effectively with other trades.

Requirements:

Education:

Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, CAD/BIM technology, or related field.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in BIM modeling or hands on installation for mechanical and plumbing systems.

Software Skills:

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM 360 or similar platforms is a plus.

Knowledge:

Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing) and construction processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with prefabrication workflows and shop drawing production. Familiarity with industry standards such as SMACNA, ASHRAE, and local building codes. Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents.
