This role is based in Arizona and supports the delivery of large-scale site development projects from preconstruction through closeout. The position reports to project leadership and works closely with field teams, owners, and subcontractors. Responsibilities Manage project engineering functions including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and document control Review plans and specifications and coordinate with the design team to resolve conflicts Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts Track quantities, production rates, and cost reports for earthwork and utility scopes Support subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and pay applications Coordinate with field supervision to plan work, sequence activities, and resolve issues Monitor project quality, safety, and compliance with contract requirements Mentor and guide junior engineers and project engineers Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field 5+ years of project engineering experience in heavy civil, site development, utilities, or mining Working knowledge of earthworks, underground utilities, and grading operations Experience with construction scheduling and cost control software Strong understanding of contract documents, change management, and project accounting Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms Ability to communicate clearly with field crews, clients, and management PE license or EIT certification is a plus Day-to-Day Review daily field reports and update project logs Process submittals, RFIs, and change order documentation Meet with superintendents and foremen to review upcoming work Update cost reports and compare actual costs to budget Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and owner representatives Review plans and quantity takeoffs for upcoming phases Support project managers with reporting and client communication Benefits Base salary up to $120,000 Annual bonus of 15% to 20% Per diem package up to $40,000 Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Opportunity to grow within a large, established contractor
