A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Job Description

Mag Inspector Performs evaluations on parts produced using TPW techniques to determine surface imperfections, cracks, laps, and other defects that affect part quality. Inspects machined parts for defects associated with grinding and machining; such as heat stress cracking and tearing. Take measurement specifications in fractions and decimals. Performs specific calibrations, tests and evaluations on parts produced. Sets up and calibrates NDT equipment, reads and interprets indications and evaluates them to established codes and specifications. Record and maintain testing and inspection information on the required inspection sheets. Performs specific calibrations, tests and evaluations on parts produced. Ensure that all specs and procedures are adhered to Ensure that equipment used for inspection is in good working condition and calibrated Train, direct, and oversee Inspector Helpers on job related duties Follow and adhere to all Quality System and HS&E requirements
Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Must have good English written and verbal communication skills Good arithmetic skills are required
