Senior/Principal Power Systems Engineer

• 50% travel Direct Hire | Full-Time | Relocation Available Sirius Staffing is seeking a Senior/Principal Power Systems Engineer
• Data Centers for a direct-hire opportunity supporting advanced electrical power systems for mission-critical and data center applications.

This role will lead system-level electrical design, power-system analysis, equipment selection, and commissioning support for complex AC and DC power systems.

ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical power-system architectures for mission-critical applications.

Perform load calculations, power studies, and equipment sizing.

Select and specify transformers, switchgear, protection devices, inverters, BESS, power-conversion equipment, and distribution systems.

Develop and review one-line diagrams, specifications, layouts, and design calculations.

Perform or review load-flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protection-coordination, grounding, harmonic, and related studies.

Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

Collaborate with Controls and Mechanical Engineering throughout design and implementation.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.8+ years of electrical systems design experience.

Strong knowledge of AC and DC power systems.

Experience designing medium

• and low-voltage electrical systems.

Experience with

ETAP, SKM

PowerTools, or equivalent.

Experience with electrical protection, power distribution, load calculations, and equipment selection.

Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and complex power-system study results.

Ability to travel 30

• 50% as needed.
