SCADA/MES
applications built on Inductive Automation's Ignition platform, administer the MySQL databases behind our operational and business systems, and build internal web tools that connect it all together. This is a fast paced position. You'll work across multiple production sites and company divisions, supporting everything from real-time machine data collection to timecard, payroll, and inventory systems. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and self-motivation. What You'll Do Develop, maintain, and enhance Ignition applications (Perspective/Vision) across multiple gateways serving several manufacturing sites Design and manage tag structures, UDTs, device connections, and gateway configurations Administer MySQL databases supporting operational, inventory, and business-critical data — including schema design, stored procedures, query optimization, backups, and migrations Build and maintain internal web applications and dashboards (React) deployed to modern hosting platforms (Vercel or similar) Integrate plant-floor devices (PLCs, drives, sensors) with higher-level business systems Troubleshoot production issues across the stack — from device communication to database performance to UI bugs Document systems, write clean maintainable code, and support long-term reliability of the environment
What We're Looking For Required:
Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (Perspective, Vision, gateway administration, tag/UDT design, scripting in Python/Jython) Strong SQL skills and hands-on MySQL administration experience (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning) Solid programming fundamentals — Python and/or JavaScript Ability to troubleshoot independently across hardware, network, database, and application layers Comfort working directly with operations, maintenance, and business stakeholders Highly self-motivated and capable of driving projects to completion with minimal direct supervision.
