Job Description

As a Commissioning Specialist on our Advisory Solutions team in North Charleston, SC, you'll participate in both onsite and office activities supporting third-party Owner Commissioning requirements on varying projects throughout the continental United States. You'll lead and perform commissioning activities, including testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and equipment/system start-up, resulting in a safe and functional environment that meets design requirements and stakeholder expectations. This role requires up to 50% travel, with expenses reimbursed at cost with receipt backup.
Pay:
$60.00- $70.00 per hour
DOE Responsibilities:
Participate in onsite and office activities to support third-party Owner Commissioning requirementsLead and perform commissioning activities including testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and equipment/system start-upWork directly with clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to achieve the best outcomes for the owner/clientFocus on operational performance and efficiency across commissioning projects
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experienceAt least 5 years of progressive experience in third-party Owner commissioning/validation activities (utility infrastructure, life safety, medium/low voltage electrical power systems, low voltage systems, building/facility systems/components, facility O&M)Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA, and NICET electrical testing and code requirementsUnderstanding of the construction and commissioning processAbility to review technical documents including NETA reports, coordination studies, and equipment startup formsExperience executing Functional Performance Testing for electrical systemsTechnical writing skills for reporting and development of testing protocolsStrong interpersonal communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders (client, contractor, construction management)US CitizenshipMust live within 50 miles of North Charleston, SCAbility to travel up to 50%
Preferred:
