at Insight Global in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, United States Job Description Job Description Our client is seeking an RF Electrical Engineer to support the development of advanced radio frequency systems and electronic hardware for mission-critical programs. This engineer will work within a highly collaborative RF engineering organization and contribute across the full product development lifecycle, from requirements definition through design, testing, integration, and design reviews. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, analyzing, and developing RF or electrical systems in a structured engineering environment and will be comfortable working in lab settings alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams. This is a fully onsite position supporting hands-on engineering, prototyping, testing, and product development activities. Design, develop, and analyze RF and electrical hardware solutions. Support product development activities throughout the full engineering lifecycle, including concept development, requirements definition, design, integration, testing, and production support. Participate in engineering design reviews, including Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs). Develop and evaluate circuit board designs and related electrical subsystems. Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities within laboratory environments. Collaborate with RF, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Systems Engineering teams to deliver program objectives. Support technical documentation, requirements development, and design verification efforts. Assist with root cause analysis and resolution of design or test issues. Contribute to multiple programs with evolving priorities and development schedules. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 3-5 years of experience in RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. Experience supporting hardware development through the full engineering lifecycle. Experience working with circuit board designs, electrical subsystems, or RF hardware. Understanding of structured engineering development processes and design reviews. Ability to work onsite in a laboratory and engineering environment. Active Secret Clearance Prior defense, aerospace, or military systems experience. Experience supporting RF product development programs. Familiarity with RF testing, analysis, and troubleshooting techniques. Experience participating in PDR and CDR design reviews. Experience translating requirements into hardware designs and test plans. Knowledge of power electronics, digital electronics, or related electrical engineering disciplines.
