- 6+ months with potential for extension Position Overview Wisdom Advisers, LLC is seeking an experienced Chemical Project Engineer to provide end to end technical leadership and project management for the design, installation, and commissioning of specialty chemical and gas delivery systems (VMBs, gas cabinets, and related distribution) at a leading semiconductor manufacturer's fab in Dallas, Texas.
The role ensures all systems meet stringent semiconductor purity standards, design quality, and facility safety requirements from initial field verification through final project handover. Responsibilities Analyze existing facility utility data (pressure, flow, temperature, and purity) to confirm the infrastructure can support new VMB and gas cabinet requirements Perform detailed field verifications to validate tie-in points, spatial constraints, and existing piping and cabling layouts to prevent design conflicts Define owner project requirements for gas and chemical systems and lead development of P&IDs, schematics, and installation layouts Define equipment specifications for high-purity components, including valve manifolds, regulators, and delivery modules Review and approve vendor engineering deliverables, including shop drawings, orbital welding procedures, and material certifications Manage projects from planning through commissioning, including technology selection, procurement support, and installation oversight Provide direct technical guidance to contractors to resolve complex design and installation issues on the fab floor and in utility areas Coordinate with construction management and QAQC teams so orbital welding and leak testing meet semiconductor cleanliness and safety standards Act as technical lead for RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, ensuring supplier submittals are technically compliant before procurement Identify value engineering opportunities in gas and chemical distribution layouts without compromising system integrity Qualifications Semiconductor design background required, with direct experience at semiconductor manufacturers, semiconductor engineering firms, or similar advanced process facilities Minimum of 5 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment managing specialty gas or chemical distribution systems Strong understanding of high-purity piping (such as
SS316L EP
