Solar Field Inspection Engineer Vallum Associate New York, NY Job Details Full-time $120,500.95 - $140,870.95 a year 7 hours ago Benefits Relocation assistance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Computer science Computer Science Attention to detail Low-voltage electrical systems Telecommunications systems Smartsheet Collaborative technology platforms SharePoint Productivity software Field engineering Full Job Description Job Summary Candidates must currently reside on the East Coast or be willing to relocate to an East Coast location We are seeking a Solar Field Inspection Engineer to support design reviews, production analysis, site inspections, and coordination with engineering and inspection partners. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar design, installation, maintenance, and quality inspections. Responsibilities Review operating system designs and PV production models such as PVsyst and HelioScope. Conduct site audits and evaluate structural, electrical, equipment, and installation conditions. Analyze system data and troubleshoot existing or potential issues. Read and interpret low- and medium-voltage plans, wiring diagrams, and control diagrams. Perform thermal imaging and insulation resistance testing and complete commissioning reports. Evaluate central/string inverters, DAS, and communication systems. Coordinate with engineering and inspection partners and support commissioning activities. Requirements Field experience in solar quality, construction, operations, or inspection. Strong understanding of PV electrical systems and LV/MV infrastructure. Experience with DAS and communications networks. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Procore, or similar tools. Clean driving record and willingness to travel up to 75%. Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
