Island Communities currently operates 64 —and growing—manufactured home communities and RV parks, totaling approximately 6,600 lots across Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina and West Virginia. We are currently hiring for a Site Survey Specialist to assist our New Homes team by completing site surveys of vacant lots within our parks to be able accept new homes. We are growing and will be installing over 500 new homes across our parks this year. What You'll Do Conduct field surveys of individual homesites to verify lot boundaries, dimensions, and setbacks against community plats and site plans Locate and document utility connection points (water, sewer, electric, gas) relative to each homesite Identify encroachments, boundary discrepancies, or code compliance issues, and recommend corrective action Prepare clear site survey reports, sketches, and photo documentation for Project Managers and installation crews Maintain accurate records of homesite measurements, conditions, and history for each community Travel between community locations as needed to complete surveys on a set schedule What We're Looking For Experience in site surveying, site inspection, construction, or a related field (manufactured housing experience a plus, but not required) Ability with reading plats, site plans, and basic blueprints Familiarity with local zoning, setback, and utility placement requirements Strong attention to detail and solid documentation habits Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk uneven terrain Ability to work alone or as part of a team. Exceptional computer skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between community sites Willingness to do some overnight travel.
